Foobar 2000 version 0.9 is officially released. Highly recommended. Note that the plugin architecture isn’t backwards compatible, so if you’re currently using 0.8x with third-party plugins, you may want to check for new versions of the plugins.
Thanks to Peter and the other developers for this awesome software.

Oh, sure… just as I finally get 0.8 working the way I want it, right down to iPod management…

Yeah, I just started playing with the Columns UI myself. ICYG will stay 0.8.3 for quite a while since Oddsock won’t be porting Oddcast to the new version anytime soon. I can’t wait to get a good golden custom config for myself done. We’ll have to compare notes in a few weeks.

The only major problem I’ve had is that I can’t add artwork to the ID3 tag in fb2k, so if I want to do that I have to use iTunes… but foo_pod messes with the prefs on the iPod, so my column layouts get all wonky… weird stuff.
If I could just do that one thing (and they added daap support to Foobar) I could leave iTunes behind forever… except to spend those free songs I have left over from Papermate.
